About Sister Speech

Sister Speech is rooted in a unique connection—three sisters who are all speech-language pathologists and share a passion for supporting children and their families. Sister Speech is currently led by the oldest sister-helping little voices grow!

I believe strongly in the "gut feeling" that families experience when they are worried about their child, but they aren't being heard by family, community, and providers. I know that looking at the whole child, and LISTENING to families, contributes to the best outcomes. Parent coaching and education is a big part of my practice and is extremely important to me. I LOVE working closely with parents and caregivers and have gained more perspective and understanding since having my own child.

I grew up in Richmond, Virginia, as the oldest of three daughters. All three of us are speech therapists, hence the name "Sister Speech." I attended James Madison University for undergrad (Go Dukes!) and Gallaudet University for my masters program. I lived in Alaska for 6 years after school, and then moved back to Virginia to be close to my family. I have a son, Jack, who is the delight of my life!
